His lab focuses on combining synthetic biology with advanced computational approaches to decipher complex biological processes in the human gut microbiota and to develop smart live bacterial diagnostics and therapeutics for human diseases. He completed his postdoctoral training in Prof. Timothy Lu\u2019s group at MIT, where he focused on CRISPR-based genome engineering and genetic circuit design. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Hong Kong in 2016, where he studied polymicrobial interactions. He is deeply committed to mentoring and fostering interdisciplinary research at the intersection of synthetic biology and advanced computation. He is fascinated by technology and enjoys building and making various tech stuff such as RC models and 3D printers.
